Mixed Fruit Shortcake

Three layers of spongy yellow cake filled with sweetened whipped cream and an assortment of diced fruit including strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, kiwis, peaches, and pears, and pineapple. The confection is iced in whipped cream and garnished on top with half strawberries surrounding the medley of fruit. The cake is finished with a dusting of powdered sugar.
