Cake Transportation FAQS

Can I put my cake on the front or back seat when driving home?

No, all cakes and pastries must be kept flat at all times especially during transport. The best place to keep our products in the car is on a rubber mat on the floor.

Can I keep my cake in the trunk during my ride home?

Trunks that are air conditioned like in a minivan, SUV, or  hatchback are perfect for transport. Sedans that do not have air conditioning in the trunk should not be used for transporting cakes and pastries.

Does my car need to be air conditioned?

You want to make sure you keep the car as cool as possible especially during warm days.

How can I make sure my cake is kept cold during a long drive?

We offer insulated tote bags along with ice packs for sale to ensure your sweets are ready for the drive. If you have a cooler and ice already, we recommend you wrap the cake box in plastic wrap and place inside another plastic bag in order to protect it from the moisture.

What is the best way to carry my cake?

Hold the cake box level at all times. Never at a slant.

How can I make sure there is enough room in my refrigerator for the cake?

You can inquire with a sale’s associate what size box your cake will be in. Our staff can supply you with the dimensions of the box you can expect to receive. You’ll want to make sure you have at least 1” clearance on top of the box to prevent damage to decoration.

Should I throw away my pastries or cakes that were left at room temperature for a couple hours?

We recommend that all refrigerated items be thrown out after being outside for 1 hour.
